How to Reset your Oracle Password
OVERVIEW
- If you are trying to login to Oracle (oracle.devereux.org), but you are getting an error stating "Login failed" - Please note Oracle accounts will get locked out after 6 failed attempts. Any further attempts to login will not work. You must reset your Oracle password in order to unlock your Oracle account. See the steps below for the details on how to reset your Oracle password.
RESOLUTION
- At the Oracle login screen, click "Login Assistance"
- Enter your username into the Forgot Password section.
- Open the email and click the "Reset your password" link.
- If you are remote, the password reset link from the Oracle email will not work if you click it as it only works when opened on the Devereux network connection (DEV1 or Ethernet connected in the office). You must copy the email password reset link and then open a Microsoft Edge browser from Citrix to open the link you copied.
OR
For some users, if the reset email does not show up, then please contact the Corporate Help Desk (help.devereux.org) who will be able to assist you to reset your Oracle password in order to unlock your account.
NOTE:
Oracle password resets can ONLY be sent to the Devereux email account of the users requesting them. Passwords cannot be given over the phone, sent to personal email addresses, or to supervisors or co-workers (because Oracle accounts contain confidential personal data). In rare cases where a user cannot access their Devereux email (and this cannot be quickly resolved), they can agree to have Help Desk (help.devereux.org) send their temporary Oracle password to a People Operations representative.
